A K&K Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas, and above in the sky,
In the star-lit heavens the Vulture did fly,
For plunder the Pirates were lurking about,
If St. Nick was flying, he'd better watch out.
A few Pirates were asleep, all snug in their beds,
While visions of pillage danced in their soft li'l heads,
And Kit in his scarf was asleep where he lay,
Pirating was tough, and he'd had a long day.
When out in the hull there arose such a clatter,
Kit sprang from his bed to see what was the matter.
And when he arrived, what should he see?
Why, the other Pirates gathered, shouting with glee!
For a Christmas present of sorts they attained,
You see, just then, they'd captured a plane.
And for sure the cargo had goods of all kinds,
More than enough to appease their tiny minds.
And the Captain was there, that Piratical czar,
Don Karnage his name, and roll the 'r'.
Never was a corsair so handsome and proud,
Or at least to himself... He shouted aloud:
"Now Maddog and Dumptruck and Gibber and Ratchet,
Hal, Hacksaw and little green person whose name I forget,
To the cargo men, and take what you see!
Then perhaps we let the pilots go free."
"But Captain," whined Maddog, "We don't let anyone go!"
"Is true," said Karny, "But is Christmas, you know?"
So the Vulture's beak opened, and away flew the plane,
And the Pirates dispersed, content with their holiday gain.
Then the Captain saw Kit, "Ah, come come, my boy!
It is Christmas Eve, and I am spreading the Christmas joy!
And he took a red box in blue ribbon down from a shelf,
"Something for you... to be more like my wonderful self!"
"For me?" marveled Kit, and he took the box apart,
Somewhere inside that blue coat, that wolf had a heart!
"Wow!" Kit was in awe, his eyes round with surprise,
As he pulled out a shiny new cutlass, made just for his size!
"Thanks, Captain, you're the best!" Kit cried with zing,
"But of course I am! Just watch where you are pointing that thing..."
But the Captain had a secret, which he might never tell,
How glad he was to make Kit happy on that Pirate's noel.
So ends this story of Christmas for Karnage and Kit,
And of those feelings that are just too un-Piratelike to admit;
And to you this message from Pirate and Protégé,
"Merry Christmas to all, Forever K&K!"
