K&K: What They Were Really Thinking
My friends, since what we see on TaleSpin regarding Kit and Karnage is much more complex than what most people think at first, I, Ted, The Brahma Bear, will gladly assist you with my K&K-expertise, and present to you what Kit and Karnage were really thinking. Please feel free to take notes. Our first scenario comes from the first act of Plunder & Lightning, where Kit, who has just stolen a precious treasure from Karnage, is seemingly trapped at the beak of the Iron Vulture. Let's listen, and I will thus show you the truth:
Karnage: "Perhaps it is none of my business, but you have gotten yourself into a bit of a piccalo, yes-no?"
Ted: You've gotten yourself in trouble. Why don't we try to work things out together?
Kit: "You know, you're right..."
Ted: I admire your teaching.
Kit: "... It is none of your business!"
Ted: But alas, I must learn to help myself. Farewell!
You see? Now, from the forth act of Plunder and Lightning, when Kit has stolen the stone yet again, and Karnage is after him:Karnage: "I have been too easy on that boy!"
Ted: I must consult my child psychology books.
And later...
Karnage: "Hand over that stone, you naughty nusanse!"Ted: We should really discuss your attitude.
Kit: "All right, catch!"
Ted: I miss the days when we used to throw the ol' baseball around.
Later than that...
Karnage: "You cannot make the fool of me twice, yes-no?"Ted: I am very pleased with your cunning.
Karnage: "So, Kit Cloudkicker, you will now kick the bucket instead of the clouds! Ha ha, I make a joke!"
Ted: I still enjoy laughing with you.
Karnage: "From now on, I erase you from my list of noble Pirates!"
Ted: I always thought of you different. You're special to me!
Kit: "Noble? You're nothing but a cheap crook, Karnage!"
Ted: You have potential!
*clunk* *clunk*
Ted: That baseball yearning again...
Karnage: "Drop him!"
Ted: Agony, I am wounded. Both in head and in heart. Please go and leave me to mourn.
Karnage: "Someone saved the boy?! Shoot them down!!"Ted: You're still in my thoughts all the time.
Yes yes, I'm sure by now, you're all standing (or sitting) in awe. But we're not done yet! No no, let us continue on, this time from Polly Wants a Treasure. In this scene, Karnage has captured Kit and tied him to a tree:Kit: "Baloo told me never to talk to strangers, and I've never met anyone stranger than you!"
Ted: I find your uniqueness intriguing.
Karnage: "Cute kid."
Ted: And how!
And let us not forget, these excerpts from Captain's Outrageous:Karnage: "That boy of Baloo's is less than something to me."
Ted: Son, I feel your life would be so much more fulfilling with me.
Kit: "What who you're calling useless, Don Garbage!"
Ted: You enlighten me with poetic creativity!
And now, dear friends, you know... some the truth. But please, don't thank me, I'm merely a good Samaritan, proudly bringing to you, the average, non-Brahma type person, the information that will set you straight. And please, keep a lookout on this page for more glorious K&K wisdom. Thank you.
