Crossroads
By Mark H.

I stand at a crossroads,
A point of no return,
A sky filled with clouds,
A night filled with stars.

Here lies a hat,
There flaps a scarf,
One path of day,
And a journey of night.

Both paths call,
beckon, it seems.
To give me evrything
I ever dreamed.

But who can I trust?
Is there anyone?
Friends to one.
Power to the other.

Too much, too little
So much, no time
All I want, All I hope
All I dream, All I fear.

What can I give,
to take, to learn,
to see beyond
a barren crossroads?

Am I angel?
Am I demon?
and where to go now?
All only to leave behind.

A past as bitter
as winter's breath.
A soul as shattered
as broken glass.

Give me a choice..
Help me!
Join me?
Fly with me!
