What is K&K?

The term "K&K" came about simply because it was easier to type than repeating "Kit and Karnage" all the time when you're discussing the respective characters. The term quickly became familiar among the TaleSpin fans on the Internet, as did the slogan it formed when "Forever" was added to it.

Although K&K stands for the two characters' names, for the context of this site "K&K" is actually as much of a what as it is a who. It represents a concept; that is, it represents not only the characters as persons, but their relationship itself.

TaleSpin, in its 65-episode run, didn't conspicuously reveal much about K&K, but it left hints and clues all over the place that show a significant bond between the two as mentor and protege, even father and son.

Why K&K?

Kit was an air pirate for a year, under Don Karnage's wing, before he ever lived at Higher for Hire. To overlook the significance of this concept, even though it took place in TaleSpin's "past," is a high injustice to the depths of both Kit & Karnage's character, because it speaks volumes about who they are.

Can you imagine Karnage as Kit's best friend... and parent? Or Kit loving the swashbuckling life of plundering pirate? Whether you find these notions ludicrous or they're something you've always dreamed of, I invite you to explore, think upon, and enjoy the muses and explanations this site has to offer.

For newcomers, I suggest checking out the Editorials page and reading the following articles first: Pirate & Protege: the K&K Relationship, Why a Pirate, and Bark vs. Bite.

Special Thanks...

I'd like to extend my gratitude to the following artists whose work helped made some of the graphics on this site so darn spiffy:

Krickitt, for her contribution to the image map (Don Karnage), Editorials page ("Word to the Wise"), Art page ("Sad Kit"), and Fan-Fiction page ("Gotcha!").

Wilson Goldwing, who created the sweet 3D rendition of the Iron Vulture on the image map.

Adam Davis, whose art appears on the Fan-Fiction page ("Red Scarf" and "Decision"), and K&K Pong page ("Confuzzled")
